History, Details and Notes:
Purchased by Aaron and Joanna in November 2018 from S.A.L.T.S., we have very little past history of “Felix”. We think she was shipped from Florida to the west coast of USA for an Oregon or Washington owner – we found receipts for both US States in a locker and her former hailing port (painted over) was Wenachee WA. She was eventually sold to a Canadian owner and her previous hailing port, before our purchase, was Nanaimo. She now hails from Victoria, B.C.
She underwent a full refit from January to March 2019 which include complete electrical system overhaul and battery bank upgrade, new fuel injected outboard, new sails and lines, new interior soft goods throughout, a diesel Espar boiler for hot water and hydronic cabin heat was added and all fuel, hydraulic and propane lines replace to name just some of the work completed.
In 2020 she received a new dodger and custom fit bimini from MasterCraft Boat Covering in Steveston (highly recommended). Joanna sewed up a new stack pack from a Sailrite kit and her new mainsail and jib from Precision Sails were installed.
We have sailed her at a maximum speed of 8 knots and she typically motors at about 5.5 knots. There is very little bridge deck clearance and she is quite heavy therefore protected sailing, flat water with a decent wind is required to get her moving nicely…. but she is VERY comfortable inside with two double births, full galley and separate standup shower in the head
