Labour Day Sail In – August 31 & September 1

img_0005s

We changed venue this year.  Went to Port Browning instead of Winter Cove and it worked out very well.  Dinner on the beach Saturday night, fun race on Sunday and awards in the restaurant on Sunday evening.  Quite a few members attended with their boats.  Jerzy Kostanski came in his recently launched trimaran, Liquidata.   Jerzy, who designed the boat himself, calls it a TNT34.  She looked very fast and was beautifully finished.

In the Sunday fun race, Liquidata was the first to finish and won the racing division.  Second was Flying Kiwi and third Dreamchaser.   In the cruising division, it was Albatross II, then Simone and third went to Manitou.

BCMS Christmas Party Dec 1st

Celia, Walter, Dorian  & Pikera Payne  hosted the BCMS Christmas Party for a second year.  Anyone coming to the party could tell when they were at the right house by the number of hulls in the yard  and by the Farrier boat parked on the road.  Ron Tomas cooked the turkey again this year and everyone else brought a dish to share.  There was lots of good food. After dinner, there was a small gift exchange.  About forty people attend.
